About Me

Growing up I did not have a lot of good role models in my life.  My parents divorced when I was 2 years old and they both have had issues with addiction.  Growing up in a less than desirable situation forced me to rely on "others" to get by.

These "others" would end up being some of the most important individuals in my life.  They are the teachers and administrators that helped me get through school. More importantly they helped me get through life.  Not sure where I would be today without the love and support that my teachers and administrators poured into me through my time in school.  I am in education today in hopes of having the same impact as these individuals.

During my journey of becoming an educator, I met my amazing wife Emily.  We have been married since July, 2009 and we have 3 boys: Xavier, Ezra, and Hezekiah.  Growing up in a family that did not regularly attend church or talk about religion I was hesitant when Emily said that we should start attending church.

A church recently opened a new campus close to our home and we decided to attend on their opening day.  I was completely blown away by how inviting the church was and how friendly everyone was.  We have been attending and serving there ever since.

I cannot explain everything that God has done for me and my family and looking back on my life, it was evident that he had his hand on my life even when I didn't know him.  I have become passionate about making sure others experience the love of Christ and as a person who works in education I believe God has strategically placed me in a position to impact the next generations.

I hope that my story will encourage others and I look forward to connecting with others to share the love of Christ.
